Rev. Wade Coleman

Story

Wade and Marian met in college at King University in Bristol, Tennessee. Marian was instrumental in making the gospel real and showing Wade a need for Christ during his Junior year. After receiving Christ, Wade started a hall Bible Study in his dorm and upon graduation he spent a summer sharing the gospel in Poland on a short-term mission trip. It was there he sensed God’s calling into gospel ministry. In June of 1990, he joined the staff of Edgemont Presbyterian Church in Bristol where he directed evangelism, youth and family ministries. The Colemans then moved to Clinton, Mississippi in 1994 where Wade attended Reformed Theological Seminary and received a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Masters of Divinity. While there Wade worked with Providence Presbyterian Church in Clinton and after graduation became the associate pastor. The Colemans followed God’s call to Bryan/College Station in August of 2003 to minister with the family of Westminster. For over a decade Wade has invested in leading the church as a Gospel Community which loves the works of Christ Jesus and extends them to the community, campus and culture of B/CS.

Life

Marian and Wade have five children, Joshua (TAMU class of 2019), Christopher, Micah, Cara Beth, and Noah. The family loves dinner together, conversations in the living room, and almost any sport that includes a ball or water. Wade coaches his boys in soccer and swimming and Marian coaches Cara Beth in volleyball. Wade enjoys good books, a hot cup of tea, strawberry Haagan-Dazs ice cream, and conversations with those inquisitive and considering the claims of Christ.

The Colemans have a great love for Jesus, His church, and people.
