The report of the Strategic Commission from its October 16 meeting was received by the Session in their meeting on October 23. The Strategic Commission prepared the budget, reviewed health insurance plans for staff for the coming year, and discussed membership and congregational giving. The Commission discussed officer nominations, with nominations for elder and deacon being taken throughout the month of November.
Elders and deacons met on October 23 to discuss the proposed 2019 budget. The budget, with recommendations from committees was received by the Strategic Commission and the full Session. This year, the budget process began earlier in the year with budget vision documents prepared by all committees and ministry leaders. The annual report will be sent out in early December.
Pastoral reports on the ministries of the church were given by Wade Coleman and Tree Triolo.
The session discussed and prayed for families in need of pastoral shepherding.
We will hold elections in November for trustees to the corporation of Westminster.
